About the Conference

INTELLIGENT ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES 2026 (IESCTECH-2026)

The National Conference on Intelligent Electrical Systems and Clean Technologies (IESCTECH 2026) provides a forum for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to share advancements in power electronics, renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage, and e-mobility. It promotes innovation and collaboration towards intelligent and sustainable

energy solutions.

 

Original, unpublished research papers within the conference themes are invited for presentation and possible publication in reputed journals and proceedings.

About the department of EEE, SRMIST

Established in 1992, the Department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering (EEE) at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) offers Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and industry collaboration. With a strong focus on state-of-the-art infrastructure and expert faculty, it continues to nurture talent and drive innovation across diverse domains of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

 

The department comprises a team of 57+ highly qualified faculty members with expertise spanning power electronics, energy systems, control engineering, electrical machines, renewable energy, and emerging technologies. Supported by advanced research laboratories and robust industry partnerships, the department has gained both national and international recognition.

 

The flagship B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering program at the Kattankulathur campus is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET (https://www.abet.org) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India.

 

Among its notable achievements, the department received the AICTE-CII Award for Best Industry-Linked Institute in Electrical Engineering and Allied Category (2019–2020) and has maintained a strong presence in the QS World University Rankings (301–350 band in Engineering). Ranked 12th in India and 3rd among private institutions, the Department of EEE continues to demonstrate leadership in education, research, and global engagement.

About the Department of Green Energy Technology,

Pondicherry University

Established in 2010 as a Centre under the aegis of the Madanjeet School of Green Energy Technologies, the unit was elevated to the Department of Green Energy Technology in 2020. The Department envisions promoting education and research in environmentally sustainable methods of energy production, conservation, and utilization.

 

It offers a M.Tech. in Green Energy Technology, partly supported by the South Asia Foundation (SAF), and also facilitates Ph.D. research in renewable energy and related domains. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has recognized and approved the department as a nodal centre for its contributions in this field.

 

Research activities encompass diverse areas of clean energy production, conversion, and utilization, including solar photovoltaic and thermal systems, energy storage, fuel cells, biofuels, wind and ocean energy, chemical energy systems, and nanotechnology-based energy applications. The Department is supported by a team of well-qualified faculty engaged in teaching, consultancy, and cutting-edge research.

 

To strengthen industry–academia collaboration, the Department has established MoUs with several alternative energy firms specializing in photovoltaic and solar-thermal technologies. Additionally, new partnerships with industries in solar thermal devices and power plant engineering are

currently in progress.
